Hebrews 12:3 states, “For consider him that endured such
contradiction of sinners against himself, less you be weary
and faint in your minds.” (King James Strongs Version); the New
International Version (NIV) states it this way, “Consider him
who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will
not grow weary and lose heart.”
Here we see that Jesus endured contradictions from sinners.
When we are in contradiction with the word, we decline to obey
him, we declare ourselves against him, and we may refuse to have
anything to do with him, and we are in direct opposition to the
goal set before us.
Let me set a premise here first. It is that for every declared
word of God, every statement from God, and every “diction” from God,
there is a contradiction or opposition.
Today, many of us face certain contradictions in our lives. But I want to tell you that if there is a contradiction in your life, that there is also a declarative Word of God that is greater than the contradiction you are facing.
In the Book of Genesis, Chapter 2:15-17, we read of the declaration and
the contradiction when Adam and Eve faced the serpent in the garden. The declaration from God was that they were not to eat of the fruit of the
tree in the center of the garden, or they would surely die. That was
the declaration of God! (I mentioned earlier that for every declaration/diction, there is a contradiction/opposition.) Now here
comes the contradiction of Satan. Satan told them that they would not
die, but that your eyes will be opened and they would be like God,
knowing all things, good and evil. Note the declaration of God, and
the contradiction of Satan.
Notice that when Adam and Eve aligned themselves with the contradiction
to the word, things began to get a lot worse for them. He began to
labor harder for his fruits, worms began to eat his crops, disease
and natural disasters cursed the earth, and all because of the sin
of mankind’s submission to the contradictions of God’s spoken word.
Today we are still reaping the benefits of the disobedience in the
garden, because mankind decided to agree with the “contradiction”
rather than the “diction/declared” word of truth and authority.
In speaking of “spoken word”, the Word of God tells us that there
is life and death in the power of the tongue. The moment we begin
to look at our circumstances for every Word of God in our life,
there is a counter word. There is a directly opposing and denying
declaration for the enemy to work on our life and relationship
with God, desiring to lead us into disobedience. It is up to us
to declare who we will align ourselves up with. Matter of fact,
Satan will wait till that moment when we are down at a low point
and are very vulnerable to his deception. It is then that Satan
will seek for us to open our mouth or mind and agree with him,
causing us to change the destiny that God has for us.
Elsewhere in the word we know well the story of Abraham and Sarah.
God told Abram “I have made you the Father of Nations,
(A Declaration). Note the contradiction Abram responded with.
“I am old and my wife is barren, how can I father nations”? Surely
you mean for Eliezer to be the one?
Now Abram had reached a point when he thought life was over and
his days of use by God had ended. (Have you ever reached that
point?) The bible says Abram and Sarah laughed at the thought
of fathering nations. I write to you that it is time to stop
laughing, and start accepting that God is God, and the only time
God dwells in is Eternity! God changed Abram’s name to Abraham,
Abraham accepted the declaration/diction, shunned the contradiction,
and became the Father of Nations that God had intended for him
to be (fulfilling destiny).
It is time to stop contradicting any visions God has given us,
and to start aligning ourselves with the Word of God. There is
an individual destiny and a corporate destiny and it seems God
waits till the moment when you think it is impossible, and
then he says, “I SAID”!
Many of us have had God’s “dictions” spoken to us over and over
again in the spirit. Take some time and look at some of the
“dictions” God has spoken over you. Align yourself with God’s
“dictions” and begin to fulfill the destiny He has spoken over
you. It is not too late! It is also important for us as
Christians, that we watch what we say in our spirit. Sometimes
when the element of discouragement creeps in, we get into the
flesh and begin to speak “contradictions,” and thus we begin to
delay or cancel our destiny. Perhaps there have been some delays,
but there have not been cancellations.
God does not remind us again and again simply because he has run
out of things to say, but he speaks reminders to us through His
spirit because we have not obeyed.
God speaks His Word, then, He watches over it….to perform it!
If we have spoken “contradictive” words, let us declare them
cancelled in the Name of Jesus!
